Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an submitted his new Cabinet to President Abdullah Gül at the Çankaya Presidential Palace on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, whose Justice and Development Party (AK Party) won the June 12 elections with 50 percent of the vote, on Wednesday submitted his new Cabinet to President Abdullah Gül at the Çankaya presidential palace.
Erdo?an’s government introduced changes to the current Cabinet structure last month. The government abolished eight state ministries, introduced six new ministries, merged two ministries and transformed two others. As part of the new structure, there are 26 members of the Cabinet, including the prime minister. There are four deputy prime ministers and 21 ministers.
The Cabinet announced by Erdo?an includes Bekir Bozda?, Be?ir Atalay, Bülent Ar?nç and Ali Babacan as the deputy prime ministers.
The ministers who will serve as the heads of the newly introduced ministries are Minister of Family and Social Policy Fatma ?ahin, Minister of European Union Affairs Egemen Ba???, Minister of Economy Zafer Ça?layan, Minister of Youth and Sports Suat K?l?ç, Minister of Customs and Trade Hayati Yaz?c? and Minister of Development Cevdet Y?lmaz.
Six names in the new Cabinet are new and the posts of three former ministers were changed while 16 ministers preserved their positions. The new ministers are Fatma ?ahin, Erdo?an Bayraktar, ?smet Y?lmaz, ?dris Naim ?ahin, Suat K?l?ç and Bekir Bozda?.
