Prisoners in Turkish jails on hunger strike against isolation of Öcalan

On 27 November political prisoners in Turkish jails went on hunger strike demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and the ongoing violations in prisons.
The action is being carried out by diffferent groups fasting for a number of days. The protest has entered its 16th day and is being carried out by the 4th group of prisoners.
PKK and PAJK prisoners sent a message from prison, stressing that the oppression they are experiencing is even worse than that lived in the 1990s. “You have not been able to force us into surrender so far, you won’t be able to do it now. You will not be able to darken our sun.”
Prisoners expressed their determination to fight until the isolation is completely lifted.
