BDP Demirta?: Government has to seek dialogue
BDP co-chair Selahattin Demirta? criticized on Monday the government’s attitude towards prisoners on hunger strike since 12 September.

“We have held talks dozens of times – said Demirta? at a meeting in Diyarbak?r – in order to stop deaths. But from now on, the government has to seek dialogue. The government should seek dialogue with inmates behind bars”.

PM Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has said once again on Monday that the hunger strikes and BDP lawmakers participating in the fast are a “blackmail” to which the government would not bow.

“Now the BDP deputies have started a hunger strike. They can do whatever they want. – said the PM – Our duty is certain. We are responsible for providing necessary medical services to those people. We are determined not to succumb to any blackmail or bluff.”
