Turkish government established dialogue with Ocalan
Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) says Turkish government established dialogue with Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan before the ceasefire declaration on August 13.
Kurdish Democratic Confederation (KCK) released a statement regarding speculations on Turkish governments dialogue with Ocalan.
KCK said they have definitive information that Turkish government established dialogue with Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali High Security Prison.
“Ocalan send us a message proposing a ceasefire after NGO’s calls and dialogue with Turkish officials” the statement read. KCK said Prime Minister Erdogan denies the dialogue because he is afraid to lose nationalist votes in the constitutional referendum on September 12. KCK also harshly criticized the government for continuing military operations against Kurdish guerrillas.
