Da alcuni giorni è il tormentone informativo in Spagna. Xabier Atristain e Juan Carlos Besance, due presunti militanti di ETA, una organizzazione che ha più di cinquant’anni ed è responsabile di centinaia di attentati, compiono un viaggio di 8000 chilometri dall’Europa al Venezuela, per addestrarsi “ a metodi per criptare, smontaggio e pulizia di armi, posizioni di tiro, etc”. Accusano di essere l’istruttore a un ex membro di ETA, Antonio Cubilla, deportato in Venezuela nel 1990 attraverso un accordo tra l’allora presidente spagnolo Felipe Gonzales e quello venezuelano Andres Perez. Cubilla venne deportato dopo il fallimento delle conversazioni tra ETA e Governo spagnolo ad Algeri ed è attualmente cittadino venezuelano lavorando per il Ministero dell’Agricoltura venezuelano.
