BDP CHIEDE INDAGINE SU VIOLENZE NEWROZ
Il Partito della Pace e la Democrazia (BDP), per voce del vice-presidente Hasip Kaplan ha chiesto oggi l’istituzione di una commissione d’inchiesta parlamentare per indagare sulla brutalità della polizia durante le celebrazioni del Newroz. Kaplan ha affermato “Lo stato turco ha cominciato a considerare il Newroz una minaccia nel 1991 quando vennero uccise 31 persone. Nel 1992 la polizia ne uccise 94. D’altra parte, quando il governo non ha vietato i Newroz e quando le forze di sicurezza non sono intervenute, il Newroz è sempre stato celebrato senza violenze e con messaggi di pace. Gli incidenti durante le celebrazioni del Newroz di quest’anno hanno dimostrato che le forze di sicurezza sono ostili verso i cittadini kurdi e usano senza limiti gas lacrimogeni e anche armi da fuoco “.
