THE ROLLING STONES ARE COMING TO HAVANA
Friday 25 March the historical English band The Rolling Stones will be giving a concert in Havana. It will be a memorable event, after an organizations which lasted months.
Once set the date, the problem was the site: it had to be big enough to host the hundreds of thousands of people planning to go. Not just Cuban residents but indeed the thousands of tourists staying in Havana around that date. The concert, as it is in the Cuban tradition, will be free of charge and it would finally be in the fields of the Ciudad Deportiva (Sport City).
The Rolling Stones have sent to Havana 65 containers to ensure a memorable show.
Global Rights went to have a look around the fields where the stage is being put up.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, all in their seventies, will be playing in Cuba two days after another historic moment: the visit by US President, Barack Obama.
