Director Panahi on trial on November 7th
Director Jafar Panahi who had been arrested previously will go on trial on November 7th of this year.
Panahi’s attorney, Farideh Ghairat, reported his trial date yesterday.
According to the RAHANA Reporter, the movie director has written on his facebook page that he will be in attendance on November 7th at 9:00 a.m. at Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court resided by Judge Pir Abass.
Panahi, his wife and child alongside some of his guests were detained on March 2nd of 2009, all of whom except Panahi were later released.
Jafar Panahi was released on a one hundred and eighty five thousand dollar bail on May 25th of this year by the Public Prosecutors office.
