SDF: Ceasefire agreed on Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê regions

The SDF General Command stated that the ceasefire between the Turkish state and the US encompassed the region between Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê and began at 22 pm on 17 October.

The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces statement issued a statement about the ceasefire reached by the Turkish state and the US.

The statement said: “At the request and approval of the SDF and mediated by the United States, represented by Vice President Mike Pence, an immediate ceasefire was reached today (17 October) between the SDF and the Turkish state along the front lines from Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. The ceasefire began at 10 pm.
The SDF reaffirm their commitment to the declared ceasefire and calls upon the Turkish state to do the same.”
